Silk screen printing
- Thick layer of paint resulting in high brilliance and shine
- Body/opaque colours and glazing colours
- Scratch- and weather-resistant colours
- Very good colours for longevity of products CD/DVD
- Very high colour definition by using Pantone-, RAL or HKS-colours
- Non-standard colours possible (louminous colours etc.)
- By adding matt or gloss varnish the typcial offset character can be achieved using silk screen
- Can be printed directly ono the silver disc and gives the label print a techincal touch/appearance
- Slightly lower resolution (48 - 54 lines/cm) compared to offset printing
- Tonal range 15 % bis 85 %.
Offset printing
- Higher resolution (60 – 80 lines / cm) compared to silk screen printing
- Increased tonal range 5 % – 95 %
- Thin layer of paint resulting in less brilliance and shine.
- There offset printing will prined with a white underlay (done using silk screen method)
- Only body/opaque colours Y, C, M and Black are available
No colour definition possible using Pantone-, RAL or HKS colours
