Using relief printing on a CD/DVD label can also enhance logos or product names by giving them a different finish and 3CD effect. You can draw attention to your name and brand to the end consumer more effectively. It’s simple: A CD is manufactured in full black colour. Afterwards a relief-silk-screen disclabel in the style of a vinyl record is printed onto CD creating the so-called grove look. The 3CD effect is visible and makes it look like an old style record favoured by „vinyl afficionados.“
