Serial numbers: an alternative to and enhancement of copy protection
Serialization means that each individual item in your order is given its own unique combination of numbers and/or letters.
To activate software the user must enter this serial number into the PC, the number having been applied by us onto the back of the manual or directly onto the CD for example.
We add serial numbers directly onto CDs, or DVDs, manuals, cover cards, card sleeves, DVD inlays, licence inserts, credit cards and all other print components.
To enhance legibility, we only use black for serialization and recommend a white or, at the very least, light background.
Our serialization equipment works with high-speed inkjet printers and can process up to 100/48 alphanumerical symbols (for CD, DVD or print components) with a serial number height of 1.5 - 4mm.
We can add serial numbers wherever you like on your print components. Double serialization is also an option.
All we need from you is an Excel spreadsheet, Access database file or a text file (CR spaced) with the datasets, and our specialists will take it from there.
